Cookie policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the acolá website and app use, and how you control that choice.
On this page
1.What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), work in a similar way and are treated the same here.
2.Essential cookies
These are needed for the website and app to work and cannot be switched off: keeping you securely signed in, protecting forms against misuse and remembering your chosen language (the NEXT_LOCALE cookie).
We also store your cookie choice in the browser's local storage, under the key “acola-cookie-consent”, so we don't ask again on every visit.
3.Analytics cookies (optional)
These are only enabled if you click “Accept all” in the cookie notice. They measure, in aggregate, which pages of the site are visited and how, so we can improve the experience.
Analytics cookies are never used on screens with clinical data, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4.How to change your choice
On your first visit, the cookie notice offers two options: accept all, or keep essential only. Your choice is saved in your browser.
To change your mind, clear the acolá site data in your browser settings. The notice appears again on your next visit.
You can also block cookies in your browser. If you block essential ones, sign-in and other parts of acolá stop working.
5.How long they are kept
The session cookie expires when you sign out or after the inactivity period. The language cookie and your consent choice are kept until you delete them. Analytics cookies, when accepted, expire within 13 months.
6.Contact
Questions about cookies or personal data can be sent to the data protection officer at encarregado@acola.com.br. See also the Privacy policy.
